There's an area called the Grampians that has one or two good boulders.

But it's a 4 hour drive...

Might not be worth it. ;)

Bit of a drive true but the gramps are the gramps.

Can you suggest any specific camping spots?
Will be bouldering only~

Slonty, Mt Kooyoora ticks all your boxes. It's covered under Chockstone's Guide tab, but that focuses on climbing routes. Opposite the camp ground (free and spacious) there are loads of boulders.

As Dalai said - Stapylton Campground. The best bouldering spot for what you need is probably Andersens. Drive to Hollow Mtn Carpark (about5km from Stapylton Campground) then walk up tourist track towards Hollow Mtn. When you get to the big overhung cliff with bolts (Sandinista Wall), walk right and follow the clifline along for a few hundred metres to find the boulders. There are squillions of fun bits of rock in that area to play on.

There's a link to a pdf on climb.org.au that goes to some Asian website.

There is a guidebook to the area available. It's called Grampian Bouldering: http://grampiansbouldering.com/

There are 10 messages in this topic.
