boots are bound to eventually get wet, i reckon most of the time it just comes in the top down your leg. gore tex won't stop that and i find it hard to believe that its going to evaporate through the membrane and leather. dunno...seems to me that if leather is quite effective at keeping the water out then its also going to keep it in. if you expect goretex to be the barrier keeping the water out then you shouldn't have another leather one keeping it in. i can kinda see the point of it on light nylon boots/shoes but leather ones?
