interesting thread dudes.....hey wateva happend to Hex.....

i think this thread should be called Vic climbers are lazier than others or lazier than they used to be. Climbers are not lazier than the rest of the population.

if we all only ever climbed new routes, our contributions would never be appreciated.

do any of us climb in order to be accepted by the rest of the climbing population? i don't. i enjoy climbing and enjoy sharing it with people but i don't climb new or established routes to fulful some obligation or contribution. i don't think any of us do.

if there are few new routes going up at the moment, that just leaves more for future climbers. the rock isn't going anywhere. eventually potential for new routes must thin out although it would be sad if they all had names of overseas climbers on them.

if i go for a run am i contributing to the sport of running?
