Well run out of time. The short story is I ended up pulling my fifi hook through my hand :) Blood squirting out and hitting my sholder like a Monty Python sketch/water pistol.

We continued as you do, just cut off the sleeve of my T shirt , stuffed it in the hole and taped it up. Couldn't lead, ran out of water lots of fun.
Told the Dr it happened on a bushwalk as you do and when I was told I coulden't climb for 6 weeks rang my fiancee at the time and told her I'd have to change the return dates on my USA road trip.
To allow another 6 weeks so I could get better and do another route on the captain (the shield) and Astroman and Half dome in a day.
For anyone listening you can always get another fiancee but you can never be as young and strong again as you are now. :)

I'll see if I can find the old slide of the blood filled fifi hook and post it!
