Organ donor registries and the (NSW) RTA form you sign when you get your license are non-binding and therefore limited in their usefulness.

I work in an ICU and on more than one occasion we've had a potential organ donor, with Donor A on their license, not able to donate their organs because they never had the conversation with their family and the family "just weren't quite 100% sure" of the patient's wishes and therefore elected not to donate.

By far the most useful thing you can do is talk to your partner and family and make it very clear what your wishes are. At the end of the day the organ donor co-ordination team will defer to the family regardless of donor registry/license status.
