Happy New Year everyone!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Melbourne show, it was a great night! And many thanks to Andy Dinning and the VCC for helping organise and supporting the event. Awesome!

The competition prizes were sent out before Christmas except for daviesdan -- I still need your address mate.

Hmmm, generally granite slabbing I guess but maybe more featured than some -- it varied from route to route. Cas Nullard had a fair bit of pure slabbing but was mostly fairly easy. Swiss Guides Routes was mostly face climbing on edges... A whole lot of Buffalo mileage would be well worth it. Our tips and feet were screaming after 9 pitches up Out of Africa; it had some climbing reminiscent of Redbacks at Buffalo... would you call that smearing or edging?

Just Tsaranoro or the islands as well? Monique wrote an article about our trip was published in Crux #5 (sold out) and also in Rock and Ice. You can drool over the Tsaranoro topos here: http://www.campcatta.com/topo2.php And some info on Nosy Hara Archipelago here: http://www.newsearoc.com/rubrique_2_4_0.html
The climbing at the islands was not especially extensive but fun and it remains the most memorable trip I've ever done. Tsaranoro was mind-blowing, the southern hemisphere's answer to Yosemite but in a style I prefer, I'd love to get back there one day when I'm climbing well... just shoot if you have any other questions.

Cheers, Simon
