I've done the rope swing there a lot of times (its across the road from the skydiving dropzone where I've spent a good deal of time) and got the measurements down so that we pull up about 1-2m off the water.. It's SUPER easy to setup and super safe so if you know what you're doing then you'll be fine.

..great that you're humbly asking questions but if you want to get into it, forget about it for now while you do a bunch of skydiving.
Start with your AFF and do about 250 skydives minimum. This will answer a lot of your questions. Also give this a read: http://basedreams.com/Index.aspx?id=37 and get yourself a copy of 'Great Book of BASE'.

Through all this have a good hard think about whether it is really the sport for you.
