hi Phil and everyone,

I'm a climber/editor/developer with theCrag and I just want to add my 2cents to the discussion.

First if you have any questions or ideas about improving the site we'd love to hear them. We added a few bits and pieces to ticking and logbook but if you have any idea, (like 'steal X from site Y' :) ) then please contact us directly as we'd love to help make the site better for you:

We're most active on our facebook page or via email but from time to time we'll jump onto forums like chockstone if we know about a discussion going on.

On the topic of logbook sharing, one of the things in the works is integrating with other climbing databases, so in the future we intend to be able to do things like import your tick list, eg from ACA. And just as importantly getting it back out if you want to.

On the topic of data sharing, all content contributed to theCrag is released to the public under a Creative Commons license. We're really keen to get as much high quality content as we can so if you have content available under a difference license we can work with that too, such as the UNE Outdoor club and ANU clubs contributing under specific licenses.

We've got a lot of cool stuff in the pipeworks, much of it centered around our API to enable other sites, applications, mobile apps etc, to integrate with the our database.

If you are a current user and have a wish list, or if you have thought about becoming a member but didn't because of something please let us know and we'll see what we can do. After all we're basically just a bunch of climbers with day jobs scratching our own itch
