Sport climbing in Australia is not really at a 'world' level yet.... We have no '9a's' (35), 1 or possibly 2 8c+ (34)... this does not really compare with the many 9a's and 9a+(s) (and probably harder) plus the many many 8c+ throughout Europe and the States. I'd say we are a fair way off the world scale in terms of sport climbing at least. Apparently there are still some areas in the gramps to be developed.... are you being sarcastic?? I'd say bouldering in Australia is at a higher level than either sport or trad climbing 'on a world scale'.
