Hey all I thought I should let you guys know; Yesterday at about 4.pm I called and ordered some climbing equipment from Rock Hardware and mentioned Chockstone - before 9.30 this morning the order was delivered! Thats less than eighteen hours later. It was all there and very safely packaged - I'm very impressed and happily recommend that others use Steve's excellent service.

You'll find the service from Rock Hardware is second to none. In addition to importing stuff from the US I bought my quickdraws, straight carabiners and Altitude Hexes from them at a great price and with some good advice from Steve. He was good enought to throw in some additional gear as well.
Just shows you all it takes is good service and for a good pricing policy to get the customers in.

Unverified information but I have heard on good authority that Rock Hardware is currently having a closing down sale and selling off remaining stock at cost price.

As you can see from the commencement date of this thread they have been around for a while, and more than that, they are background sponsors of this site.

We wish Steve and his team all the best in their future endeavours.

Rock Hardware is my favourite place to buy gear — excellent advice, good prices, Steve is a master at fitting a backpack and he always had a great range of stock. It'll be pretty sad if it's true he's closing.
