This was brought up once before but no one replied. I read the post list on the front page all the time but if I could integrate it into the rest of my news feeds that would be even more convenient (not to mention less obvious at the office) . Would other people find an RSS feed of this forum of use?

Can't say I've ever used them, either as a user or supplier.

Probably time you looked into it Mike. Feed readers are becoming increasingly popular, and as more people go mobile, they'll be relying on Google Reader and the like to browse new Chockstone posts, Flickr photos and 8a.nu ticks on their iPhone while at the crag sipping lattes.
Actually might not be too difficult to implement.
Cheers

If people access Chockstone posts in the future by mobile phone does this mean that reply posts will see an increasing use of 'mobile-text-speak'?

I think the little summary on the front page of the site already does most of the work; it just needs to be reformatted to look like an RSS feed and maybe include the content of the posts too...

Possibly.
There is already (too often), enough mis-understanding of posts with subsequent angst / flame wars(?) as a result.
The age of the cyber-bully/troll is well and truly here already without adding to the mortality rate ...

I thought people put things like :)
(text equivalent of a smiley), on their posts in an attempt to convey the post was less than serious, and not intended to cause angst to the apparent (or intended), reader.
I am learning that cyber-speak, text-speak, whatever-speak is actually not a very good substitute for real-speak! ... as many don't follow the same etiquette and can (seems from WW&S post), actually be annoyed by such things.
