You are partially correct. I do attend a hospital site during office hours. However my medical knowledge is obviously out of date. Mind you I haven't been called upon to stand in for one of our surgeons for some time so it's hardly surprising.

I had a MRI three months ago in Sydney, referred by shoulder specialist. Two scans - non-contrast, then contrast - $600. Got $500 back from Medicare.

Thanks.
A year and a half off with the mother of all shoulder injuries, and now I do the other one in a skiing stack. A possible infraspinatus tear.

Wends ... since when did I get Wends????
Good I think. Or at least so I'm told. I'm working on extreme stretching. One must have some extreme activities in one's life. I have an alarm set every two hours from 9-9 to remind me to stretch! I can almost reach straight up now. It is, however, far less painful than the first 4 weeks. Having 6 holes drilled in your shoulder is bad. Very very bad. But i've been off the painkillers completely for about 6 weeks. 3 months down. 3 months to go. I have never spent an entire winter in Nati before. I shall endeavour never to do one again, it is miserable, but I guess it's good that the weather didn't leave me feeling like I was missing out on prime climbing weather. Although it is just starting to now. But I've been doing a bunch of walking in the Gramps and I've just got the go ahead to start jogging again. Booked a beach holiday for when I'm scheduled to be able to swim again in October.

I thought I tore my Supraspinatus. THREE physios indicated it was likely a supraspinatus tear. Most of my research indicated that the supraspinatus doesn't heal well and need surgury. So after 3 weeks I saw a surgeon and got an MRI.
Turns out it was a break of the scapula. Overall it had a far better prognosis than a tear so I was very happy. 2 months later I was fine... I think i was quite lucky really.
