For our esteemed elder statespersons;
Replacement hips or knees from too much bouldering sans crash mats.
Dentures, colonoscopies, prostate checks, menopause and blood pressure meds.
Are we all well?
Hope so.
AP.

I earlier this year learnt about Hoffs Fat Pad. I never knew Baywatch was in my knees. I also have arthritis and calcification in my right little finger which makes using a pen hard. So much for the census or doing my own prostate exam. Then theres the 5 protruding discs. Its taken a toll on beloved bouldering but brought me it could be worse moments crawling and drowning in a packraft because I have no bloody clue. I cant talk about climbing as I only climb at the most stellar secret crags this side of Mars, weĺl at least I bolt there sometimes.

Life is the major cause of death.
If you're not covered in scar tissue then you clearly didn't try very hard

Indeed it is Eduardo.
I once named a new route in North Wales 'Death can be Fatal'.

Heading for a hip Xray tomorrow. Hopefully the problem is muscular not a bone issue. 🙂

Hip is OK, but thanks for asking AP & gnaguts.
Having said that, my 200 kg climbing distraction motorcycle seems to be getting heavier these days, and I'm hoping the new cross-fitness toy treadly doesn't go the same way.
PS: A strange topic, & one that most of the disinterested readership still has ahead of them!
Heh, heh, heh.

It's not my hip, it's my arm. I broke the upper humerus about 14 months ago. As the surgeon described it; "the icecream has fallen off the cone". I was told I'd get 70-80% use back and at the moment it looks like the lower end of the movement range and it is still as weak as. I can barely manage to hold a bottle of wine at arms length and pour a glass, that's how serious it is!
