I went past it in a boat 10 days ago. It sort of looks like cliffs but obviously appearances can be deceptive. Maybe there should be signs up saying "Not real rock, do not climb, do not abseil, don't even look too hard at it or it will fall down."

Weed clearing and cut the wrong vine perhaps?
Nasty looking water rescue. You know it's difficult and there are time pressures when patient is slid in and out of boats as per footage.

Well not unless people start blaming them for publishing the guidebook. ;-)

I've climbed there. It's OK if you're happy with flaring, crumbly placements.

I went there once, belayed my second up with no anchors, just my feet down a fox?? hole. Fun times, sort of, haven't been back.

I think they are seabird breeding holes

I've climbed there a couple of times (Isla la Muerta and Big Cliff) and its definitely adventurous but these guys were not climbers apparently, they were 'professional':
Radio station 3AW reported the abseilers were "engaged in environmental works for Phillip Island Nature Parks".
It seems they both had a rope failure (simul rap with an anchor fail?)
