what about when you jump off the boulder? that doesn't give you problems? or do you only climb boulders of a certain height?

I down climb first if possible. Or if I fall or pre-empt falls, I try get myself in a good landing position to take the impact well. The downfall of that is I don't commit to harder moves cuz it's always in the back of my mind to fall 'well'. But I've taken some good falls recently and I've been fine, but I haven't been suffering with disc issues. Pilates I tells ya - good for ya (and a bad back!)

Yeah, I tend to avoid sitting in a hardness due to the anterior glide/pull that is put on the spine when sitting on the rope, if I have a good day I'll jump on and do stuff I'm comfortable doing.
