Hi,
Anyone keen on heading up to Mt Bogong for some alpine climbing, mountaineering skills practice ?
I was going to go this weekend with some friends but life got in the way (also nice to let the new snow settle a bit I think), and they are mainly into sliding down slopes on plank(s) anyway.
I'm planning to check out the Pollux Outcrop area. My plan is to head up the last weekend of august (26th/27th) if conditions are reasonable.
Let me know if you are interested.

Sensible. Been a number avalanches up in the mountains recently given the bumper snow last weekend and poor conditions prior...

Yes, there's been slides all over the place I hear, I think the warnings have eased slightly, but still reason to be very very careful. Especially skiing/boarding as the best snow is found on the South and East faces which are the most affected. Fortunately the best climbing is on the less affected aspects.
