Hello!

I'm a 26 year-old Boston-based climber visiting Australia January 1-8 looking for partners! I'll be arriving in the Sydney area in late December to dive with a friend from LA, but will be psyched to climb starting January 1, and can easily take a flight over to Melbourne. I climb up to 20 (5.10) sport at Rumney and lead up to 18 (5.9) trad at the Gunks. Not sure how the grades vary in Australia, but it's a starting point.

I can bring gear (both trad and sport), but would like to limit it as it's a helluva haul from Boston. Will probably not have access to a car

I've climbed sport and trad in Germany, South Africa, Thailand, Red Rocks (NV), and the Red River Gorge (KY). Give an excellent belay and a soft catch!

Let me know if you'd be interested, and we can work something out :) Feel free to email at LINDN@BC.EDU. FB: https://www.facebook.com/lin.daphne

For Sydney/ Blue Mountains, the default is sport climbing unless you're super keen. I can lend you a trad rack if you need one.
As you'll be climbing with someone, I'd assume they have gear, leave the rope and draws behind, and repay the favour with a beer on the way home.

(PS 5.9 trad in the gunks is much harder than 5.10 sport)

But much easier than trad in the Blueys! #sand

Srsly tho, of the places you've listed, the Blueys is probably most like a softer, chossier version of Red Rocks. Those juggy dinner plates you probably enjoyed yarding on there are to be avoided at all costs when you see them in the Blueys.
