It was a bit of a last minute thing; that close to Xmas everyone was busy. I went early to have a last go on my borrowed aid gear before returning it, then Mike F turned up and we top-roped Dick McGinty… my project to solve the first two moves on that one!

Philip Ivan, didn't know you where a local, will PM you next attempt at a meet.

Skegly I'll be back on the 5th, keen to hook up for a climb then.

So far I've found 11 Castlemaine area climbers plus a few returning or new climbers, I'll keep trying to set up meets on Mount Alexander. There is heaps to do there and access is easy especially ant Dog Rock and Orchard View. Given other commitments I'm lucky to squeeze in half a day a week so easy access is good.

Andrew and I try to get to the rail bridge in Harcourt for a quick boulder a couple of times a week, our attempt at training - not that it's paying off grades improvement wise, but it's nice to get out early and have a workout.

Anyone know about Orchard View on the North East side of Mt Alexander? There are a couple of bolted routes there; is it being developed by Western Vic Club?

Yes it is the WVCC and mostly the Bendigo contingent as well as some Ballarat climbers. Contact via Steve at Rock Hardware would be a good start.
