I fill the same pack for a morning cragging and a week in the mountains. However, it takes a lot longer to pack for the latter.

It appears the original TR has been chopped considerably at some point. Has this happened to all the longer posts on chokky?

Very interesting comment.
Not long ago (5 or 6 weeks back), I had reason to re-read an early Buffalo TR I posted yonks ago and found the same thing had happened to it.
I assumed it was a one-off stuff up that I may have made myself somehow along the way, by doing a minor edit to it.
I had a bugger of a time restoring the full version, due a home computer upgrade along the way making it hard to find the original document, and then when I did, it was an earlier software version.
... & to make matters worse the 2nd half apparently contained 'suspicious content', plus was deemed too long to post as one post!!!
I ended up sentence by sentence editing and adding to my original post to restore the full version ~> definitely not a user friendly experience...

Just noticed my Yosemite writeup from 2010 has suffered the same fate.

That's a bit disappointing. Is this a by product of the post-hacking world of Chockstone where all sorts of normal words are banned?
I don't plan reposting the remainder in the short term, perhaps later. If anyone is busting to read or reread, it was published in argus with most of the typos and poor grammar fixed.

I have just gone back and checked a lot of my earlier Trip Reports, and my longer posts in the Short
Stories thread, and sadly have found that they too are clipped*.
(*Bugga, just found another suspicious word; tr_ncated).

Thanks Rod, I've not done anything about this, would be great if a 'global' solution could be hatched.

The issue now has it's own thread, and you are right about a global solution, as I suspect there is much content within TR and SS threads that has been affected.
