Hello everyone,
We plan a weekend climbing in the Baroomba Rocks. Got the ACT Granite guide. I was just wondering how and where the access to the Northern slabs (Sunstroke, etc) is. From the top (facing out) do you turn right or do you follow the path down to the Southern Buttress and make your way along the bottom of the rocks??
Hopefully, someone could post a short answer. That would be grate!!

With some luck, someone more expert than me will tell you, but you want the Central Gully track. Neither left nor right at the top, you kind of go up over the rocks, then follow the gully down. Last time I was there the track was a bit indistinct at the start, but it improves further down. The area down around Sunstroke is a total shit-fight at the moment, as the re-growth after the most recent fires has been quite vigorous.

The route down the scree slope to the north of the Northern Slabs is a real bastard. Best to go down the Middle Rocks descent gully. If you can't find that, then go down the path to the Southern Butress.

Northern end scree slopes are like surfing the pipeline at low tide. Use the central gully
descent.
