Nether route description: "pull on bolt then 25m of awesome climbing" ... sounds just like Lure Groove!! They're both on my list for when (and if) I'm good enough.

In the meantime...could the nerdy etymologists please confine themselves to some other thread and stop tainting this lovely Taipan thread. :)

No way. In the Age EG today a quote from Jean Luc Godard. "A film should have a beginning, middle and an end; just not in that order." How many climbs does that quote apply to?

Post edit.
It's Ok though, as I know from PMs that WM has a 'proud' sense of humour.

we now have another new climbing term

We shall have to wait to see if popular usage shortens the term to routlette or rhubarb*?

(*SCV reckons it has a bouldered / batman start. This opens up pandoras box re when does a boulder problem become a route, ie where does the boulder problem finish and the route start? Is this a new definition of 'mixed' climbing? If it is started batman style should it be called something else? How many moves constitute a batman start vs a bouldered start?).

... and DWS ~> depending on tide conditions where does a route start there?
"That's enough"! & "Back under the house with you Idra"! ~ I hear WM saying.
Heh, heh, heh.

Interesting question that. The unconsidered response is; How far can you get your Batarang to fly?
And what constitutes a bouldery start? How many moves? Does it start from the ground? 1 move up, 2 moves up, 3 moves ... ?

Climbing is amazing with its ability to throw up silly questions for us to debate.

Yes...Good stuff. "absolutely amazing" That was always the line.

And I think coming in from the left was a better option than the batman start too.

I guess the top pitch of mirage is the next obvious thing to do.

yes....Or that.

You may want to run a few laps on the Great Divide first though just to get up to speed.

The redline( top pitch of mirage) gets my vote for best unclimbed line on the wall at the moment. not that quetzacoatl wouldn't still be a 4 star pitch.
