Hi,
I know that this is a hiking-focused forum. So please take my apologies for posting a climbing question. But - I am in desperate search for a decent forum on rock climbing on Skye.
We plan to spent there a few weeks on Skye in August to to some hiking and to try out some nice multiple pitch climbs. The problem with this is, that we have some experience with multiple rope pitches in the bolted French region and also some experience in trad climbing. Nevertheless our experience on traditional multiple pitch climbs are limited. Is there anybody out here to be able to give some advice on possible routes or give a hint where I can ask somebody? The information given in the climbing guide "Skye the Cuillin" by the SMC are quite cut short.
Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

The preamble post made here to the climbing in Skye link, although interesting, is a direct rip-off of a 2010 post to that site by a genuine enquirer from Germany.
You waited two days after registering on Chockstone then used that ploy to SPAM us.
Your sleeper tactic didn’t work.]

Ha Ha, well spotted mods.
Thanks for not deleting the thread cos....wait for it... I am actually going to Skye this October!
I'll have my gear with me but no rack or ropes (it's meant to be a family holiday)
I hadn't done much research 'cos I was planning to post on UKCforums or maybe even hire a local guide to do something long and meaty... If that fails I guess I'll just do some exposed walking (weather permitting).
Anyway, if you have any tips or stories let me know.
Cheers,
Spiersy

Hey Spiersy,
I’ve got to climb on Skye (Cuillons only) one October a while back, was an amazing place, but you need to be ready for 4 seasons in one day. Did half the Cuillin traverse which is good fun, including the Inn Pin with snow. Never got to try climbing on the ‘Ol Man though.
Check out the UKC forums and guides. You can buy guide books thru there too.
