Was that with Mum and Dad and your other siblings?

You got them done in very quick time. Very well done.

Did Mum only buy you 1 set of cams? Maybe Dad can pick you up another set next time he's working overseas.

Ed - ya know wot. You have no idea how much gear I have now. see dads loaded and the parents are divorcing and they are competing for my affection. Now proceedings are at that sweet point of tension where whatever I ask for I get apart from cash never more than 20 bucks tightasses. I get gear more gear to keep me safe unlike your father blah blah now I have so much gear I might cash in with a chocky fire sale.

Any tips on what gear flips for the best new to "second hand" price? I'll get em to get me some of that.

Don't believe the competing for affection ruse as it usually precedes your (sorry to say) impending abandonment.
Re gear tip; get a logbook as it will make all your gear last longer.
If you don't want abandonment then get your parents a logbook too otherwise you will become eligable booty while living out of dumpsters on the street.

Just got back from a 7 day trip to moonarie - great conditions, but we did have one cold session on hangover layback where the wind almost froze us. We stayed at bottom camp and enjoyed the luxuries of an esky with cold drinks, a full menu, barbeque, full sized poo shovel, etc. It was about 1 hr walk on day 1 and between 30-40 minutes on subsequent days.

The current guidebook is sufficient. Make a ticklist for your trip and then look on thecrag.com to see if there are new abseil points nearby. Comments on thecrag also help with working out if the climb is super sandbagged.

The water tank at the top was overflowing every day we were there.

My recommendation for a long trip is:
Day 1 - carry climbing gear to top, climb for the day, stash climbing gear, walk back down and camp at bottom camp.
Day 2 - carry camping gear and food to top.
Days 3 onwards - enjoy a sleep in.

September will be a great time of year for it!
