I have created a simple Google Docs page where I will record updates, corrections and new routes associated with my print guide to sport crags in the Grampians.

Feel free to leave updates on this topic or email me directly (nmonteith at yahoo.com).

I've added a few minor corrections, a couple of projects and some new routes to the updates doc. Dig out your guide and a pen and get it updated!

Maybe as a suggestion for guides in the future, could there be a dedicated email address for corrections/suggestions? Whilst PMing Neil's not a big deal, if I wanted to send a pic (okay Neil's a bad example since we all know his email), to show what I was talking about, Chocky's interface is not ideal.

Do you want to know about layout issues? eg. One of the numbers on one of the pages isn't in the middle of its blue dot like the rest are.

You will find my email address listed in the guidebook - that is the best place to send corrections/new routes etc. It's the same address I have had for since 1994!

I probably don't need to know about design problems - but if a fact is incorrect (ie numbering is wrong) then please let me know! I do have plans to update this guide in a couple of years time - so these problems can be fixed in the medium term.

Special request for the next edition. Can you include 1 death choss trad route per crag, for shits & giggles? Oh & to keep Macca happy? Extra points if the selected trad route has an aid point in the grade somewhere!

I've added a table showing clearly what crags are closed or open in the Grampians. Also a few new routes and changes. Keep this info coming!

Thanks Neil.
Road into Dreamtime is open I believe - I haven't been in there for a while but I know others who have, as recently as earlier this month.

I think Centurian is closed - certainly it's in the closed area and isn't listed in the exceptions.

I've emailed all the new Northern walls stuff to Neil. Quite a few new routes up there now (although might be next summer before anyone else climbs there now).

I've did a couple of new routes at Watchmen Wall in the Northern Grampians late last year. Not on theCrag yet, but I'll get that done soon.
Here's what I sent into ARGUS:

Northern Grampians
Watchmen Wall

Loiterer 19m 22
A short, hard crux at the end of easier climbing – sure to be popular with boulderers!
Start as for We Like to Watch. Follow WLTW to its big half way ledge. Climb diagonally left past 2 FHs to the guano stained ledge (Clip the FH up right). Loiter as long as you like, before powering up to the anchors. (5 bolts)
Michael O’Reilly, Ross Timms and Steve Chapman October 2016

Loiterer Left hand Variant* 21m 19
This easier LHV of Loiterer finally provides the much needed warm-up at the cliff.
Start directly as for We Like to Watch, or climb in easily right of the first FH. Follow WLTW to its big half way ledge. As for Loiterer, climb diagonally left past 2 FHs to the guano stained ledge. Clip the FH up right with a sling or long quickdraw. Loiter as long as you like, before traversing easily left to the black groove using big underclings. Clip the FH and up to the anchors. (6 bolts)
Michael O’Reilly, Ross Timms and Steve Chapman November 2016

Both of these routes finish at the same anchors.
