There is a kestrel nest of 4 eggs right at the rap anchor on Cassandra. The female kestrel was really distressed by our presence and we're worried that she will abandon the nest if there is more disturbance. We recommend climbers stay away from this wall for now.

Thanks Jono for reporting this and thanks Kieran for getting the sign in place so quickly. Hopefully this will give those people who rock up to the area a heads up instead of them heading up the climb in the first place. http://cliffcare.org.au/about/falconwatch/
It does appear that there are no longer any chicks or activity at the Cassandra nest. The sign has also disappeared unfortunately. It anyone has it or removed it because of no chick activity, could you please return it. Please leave at the noticeboard at the toilets in the Pines with a note saying Returning to CliffCare. While it may not look like much, it still took volunteer time and labour to make and would be a shame if we had to make them every year.
