Howdy,

4 years in the making, after god knows how many road trips to get photos, hiring planes to get aerial photos, design brainstorming sessions, cross checking, talking to other climbers, revisions, and miles of climbing we are proud to announce that the new Best of Victoria rock climbing guide we've called "Sublime Climbs" is at the printers.

ETA for delivery is mid-late May, and you can now pre-order your copy via our website.

Check out our website for a teaser of some of the pages, more details about the book.

Enjoy,

Josef Goding, Kevin Lindorff & Jarrod Hodgson are the Rockmaster team
*A huge thanks to the support of the many climbers who have assisted with supplying photos for, and in the creation and editing of this book.

Will you be doing a Buffalo-specific guide?

I have seen stacks of awesome Buffalo Photos on your Photobucket.

It'd be a tragedy if they were confined to a mere one section of this guidebook...

Morning, thanks for the positive feedback re Buffalo shots.

This is a best of Victoria guidebook and covers Arapiles, Grampians and Mt Buffalo.

We have no plans to re-do the comprehensive VCC's 2006 V6 Buffalo guide.

There is talk of a 2 part Grampians guide (not by us) but it may be a while off (1-3 years?) but should be excellent when out. The Grampians needs new guidebooks more than Buffalo in my opinion!

Howdy, just to give you an update we have had some delays in printing but have just got the first 10 books by air freight and they look fantastic.

Delivery timing for the bulk amount is estimated at mid June, so any pre-sale orders would be shipped out very quickly after that date.

Stay tuned for some launch venues and dates (will be mid-late June). Anyone got any ideas?

Nati Cafe? The CBD climbing gyms? Rock Hardware in Bendigo?

So I guess you're targeting lazy international and interstate visitors who want to do a Vic road trip but don't want to shell out for 4 different guidebooks? Looks very purty.

Howdy,

Neil - yep taxi is definitely the go this time around.
Steve - thanks for the kind words.

And yep our target market is people new to climbing just wanting one guide that's easy to use and find to the very best of Victorian climbing. We are also targeting interstate and overseas travelers.

In case you didn't know there is a GPS file sharing page where we have made available a file including the locations for car parks, camp sites and climbing locations for most of the climbing areas covered in the book. Check out the "gps file sharing" tab on this page:

Enjoy!

Howdy, the guides have arrived a little early. If you want your copy head to Lactic Factory or Bogong, or come see Kevin and I in the Northern Grampians. We'll also be over @ Arapiles & Nati on Sunday to drop some in to the Cafe and climbing shop.

Enjoy.
