Climbing areas such as Royalty and Urinal Wall ( i believe most of the areas bar Big Rock) won't be open until late May.

Unfortunately for all the You Yang lovers out there, it will be closed for quite a while longer than originally noted. Opening dates have been pushed back further and further though it
looked like Easter was going to be a pretty definite re-opening. Unfortunately
this wasn’t to be and after speaking to the ranger at the park, things are not
looking too good. Early July is now the expected opening. Contractors will start
the asbestos removal process in two weeks time and this should take around 3
weeks or so. CliffCare was successful with a grant last year to do work in the
park in the Urinal Wall and Royalty Wall area. Due to the closures, we have had
to keep postponing the planned working bees. Now as our grant year is coming
to an end with no possibility of getting a working bee in, the grant project has
now been pushed to the next year. Due to the flood damage some of the tracks
to the climbing areas were damaged but these have now been repaired and are
better than they were before. I should have some photos of these to show in
the ensuing weeks.

Cheers,

Tracey

Given that it is dangerous to breathe asbestos, shall we presume that the koalas and so on have been relocated for their own safety?
