Is the eyrie really only a 12, it was almost 15 years since i did it and it was a significant climb for me at the time. funny how memory plays tricks on you giving something more significance. same with my comments about Sweat Dreams.

Both routes were significant early multi pitch route for me. And as such hold fond memories.

I found this route considerably harder and of lesser quality that Smegadeth. It only has has a few good pitches - and quite a few average or choss pitches. Smegadeth was 2 or 3 stars every pitch! Much nicer!

True, but HC 48m gr 19 Pitch 6 is gold! What exposure! Worth it for that pitch alone.

Huh? No way is it harder. I'd say Smegadeath is at least two grades harder! You thinking of the right route? I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for mulit-pitch sport in the 17-21 range. Forth pitch seems hard for 23 if you're not tall ... Fantastic route though! Hotel Cal is brilliant too.

This Sporting Life is a fun two pitcher sport at Pindari with some second pitch options (you can rap back in for). There may be some good options for you at Narrowneck. And don't forget the Freezer... Bowens is good when it's cold elsewhere or there could be showers (not sure what pills Mikl was popping there...).

Maybe search the forum because I'm sure this stuff has been discussed before....

So much to do!

Smegadeath p1 & p4 were pretty solid 23s I thought. awesome awesome route though - one of the best multi pitch routes I've done anywhere.

I found Bladerhozen easy for the grade, but don't forget a cam or 2 for p1 (one of the topos floating round on the 'net doesn't mention this) - its pretty run-out otherwise.

Heathcliff is also a great newer area with multipitch routes at a moderate grade, and mostly good bolts. There are some new routes not in the guide.
