Had x-rays this afternoon and I'm STOKED that my ankles are not broken, although there may be a small fracture on the top of my right foot. The hospital are going to get back to be on that one.
It seems they are both badly sprained. I have had a broken ankle before, so I was pretty sure they weren't busted this time. The doctor wants me on crutches for a few days and I'm NOT particularly stoked about that but there is no point complaining - it could have been worse.
Also kind of STOKED that I managed to go back up and complete the pitch after the fall and then follow Mikl up the second pitch . Although, the only other option would have been to slog up the hill back to the car.
F#ck it was painful, though.

cOUld have been a hell of a lot worse

yeah that is impressive did you whine like a girl though? When i hurt my ankle ice climbing I moaned all the way up and down. took us 2hours to do a 30min walk out. I hung on the rope and went off route and climbed grass too...not hard like you see... hope it feels better. rest and ice won't do it any harm either... see if you can con a loved one into waiting on you hand and foot -I always find that helps when you're injured. Although I wouldn't tell them you finished the route! x

Umm......maybe a little.......kind of......OK.....YES.... I WHINED LIKE A GIRL!
Not too sure which bone but I often get quite a bit of pain in my right foot, so if there is a hairline fracture there, it's not necessarily from this fall.

Climbed my first Multi Pitch yesterday - Sweet Dreams at sublime point in the blue mountains it was also my first trad climb, though I was the second, I am totally stoked to now have some on rock experience with trad gear - even if it was only taking it out.
160 or so meters in 4 pitches we linked a couple of pitches in the middle, very exposed at points AWESOME !

Stoked to get my first proper fall on trad gear out of the way! Though the reaseon I fell was that I was stuffing round trying to back up a dodgy .3 camelot and got so pumped that I decided it was move on or fail-so I moved on! Buggered it up and barn doored, fell a good 4 or 5 metres before that dodgy camelot held me!
Stoked also to have such a good weekend at Point Perp. Point Perp is awesome!

Trad is something to behold-I was really surprised that piece didnt pull. When I climbed back up to it, the outermost lobe of the cam was completely open(or closed depending on how you look at it). Though I managed to hold it together mentally the whole time-(also stoked with this!)

it's actually pretty reasonable when you compare it to something like road bikes, skiing etc. but it's expensive if you're a student, which a lot of us started as...

Stoked to have solved the latest in a long list of massively contrived boulder problems at Glen Park. It has a long cross through that I couldn't "unwind" from without barn dooring off, but on a whim I tried turning the other way (turning away from the cliff to face out, then continuing the turn through a full revolution) and bugger me it worked! It has now taken over the title as most ridiculously contrived problem I've ever dreamt up, which is saying something!
If any of you are ever planning a trip to San Francisco, PM me and I'll take you down there for some merciless sandbagging! ;-)

Get Out! the 'Tom Cruise' move works?
oh - I'm Stoked that Ben and Jerry's is coming to Australia (Manly store to open in October)
and also Stoked that I just got back from a lunch time work out and wasn't completely out of breath after - seems like I've finally kicked the flu. I am going to Nowra this weekend.

Amazingly enough yes!
I've also suddenly become a lot more handsome, have a strong urge to procreate with has-been teen starlets and have joined a wacky religious sect based on the science fiction of a dead drug-f'ed author! I'm terrified my next step is to make a total twat of myself on Oprah! :-o

Grampians.....WOW WOW WOW... so impressed lovely rock and lovely positive holds for whimppy sarah arms... loved it.
Walked/scrambled from mt. Zero pinic ground to Mt stapylton then mt hollow - i didn't jump the gap, found an easier bit to down climb and across - don't trust my ankles. Cool caves. Saw a South African guy working on the wheel of life -2 weeks in a cave - not my idea of a holiday but each to their own - he was about half way.
Also saw Mckenzie falls and practically ran up to the pinicles and did the Briggs bluff walk on the Sunday -with a short cut (slightly scary in places) solo up a ravine well in my limits but without a rope eek!
And i've so got over Kangaroos... did see one with a joey though -do male roos have pouches?
Also impressed at how the australians treat camping -in the uk it's all character building and suffering. It's luxury here - don't think I've eaten so well in ages.
So busy weekend and blisters.. should really go see a podiatrist...

Oh! true!
Haha. You have to re educate the Poms on how to camp! - It's all that Duke of Edinburgh nonsense you guys are subjected to in high school :P You can walk to the pub from some of the sites out here!
When are you getting back to the UK, Sara?
