Grenfell should be the countries bouldering capital with its sandstone and granite, 3 or 4 pubs, closeness to Nagar for high quality easy access roped climbing and I reckon there is probally some good stone near eugowra.
I'm always petrol money.

Bugger Melbourne Cup Day, the guinea pig races go off?
Look up Weddin Mountains National Park.
The camp ground on the western side of the Mountain is excellent. Multiple free gas BBQs. Nice camp ground. Composting toilets. Fire pits with hinged grills.
500 mtrs from there is a perfectly preserved colonial farm house made of tin and timber and baling wire called Seaton's Farm that is kept in order by National Parks. It's a good tourist type thing to check out.
Behind Seaton's Farm is Bertha's Gully that looks to have 20 times as many boulders as Basin Gully, which was the one I went looking up the other day.
There are at least 10 other gullies leading off the backside of the mountain. They all look to have heaps of boulders. Closer to the creeks, the boulders are more of a conglomerate kind of sand stone, with big pebbles . Despite the look of them , they are suprisingly solid. Further up the sides of the gullies the rock become like the boulder in the photo; bullet hard grey and orange sandstone
How much hiking involved? As little or as much as you want.
In bouldering terms, it's undiscovered country.

Yeah, that's the place Rod.
Ben Hall's Cave has a good roof problem or two.

Thought so ...I remember seeing some nice looking cliffs up above the farm to from memory....not to high 10-15m, but they loooked orange on overhung...though it was a while ago so could be a bit of off in the memory.
Post edit: I knew I had mentioned it..good to see Im not going mad :)

Going on past WWS and wombat expeditions....if you can hobble around and still use your drinking arm you should still be sweet for the weekend.

Wombat - announcing on a public forum that you have named a dog after my daughter is an inconceivably low blow.
All previous offers of midnight walks, holding hands in the moonlight are OFF.
Separate tents from now on.
I am not into negotiation and I don't have a sense of humour.

Stoked to find some post-it notes in my console on Saturday and was able to happliy post parking tickets on the windscreens of cars on the closed section of road below Arapiles. I recommend this therapy to anyone.
(p.s. Why would you drive past a Road Closed sign if you're going to park within 100 metres at the Plaque area in any case?)
