So, what are the ten things I must see or do before I die, and not necessarily the top ten climbs. Hike aournd the Prom? Climb My Fuji? Surf Hawaii?

Where can you do this without being arrested? If you know, you should put it on the where to go on honeymoon thread.

Perhaps Gravity hound youd like to join myself and a friend on a trip were trying to organise. Sea kayaking from the Prom to Tasmania with stops at appropriate islands on the way. Can be done in approx 5 days but were keen to take a little longer and have a rest day or 2 along the way.

There tends to be two approaches to this:
1) 10 things you want to do but almost definitely won't
2) 10 things you are going to have a damn good go at

I prefer the second... so here's mine (as soon as I tick any of them something else will take its place):
1. Be able to onsight grade 20 on trad regularly
2. Climb a grade 25
3. Climb something with at least 10 pitches at Yosemite
4. Visit Fontainebleau
5. Boulder a V6
6. Trek in Nepal or Tibet
7. Walk one of the famous tracks in NZ
8. Try ice-climbing somewhere with decent ice (preferably Canada)
9. Look after my wife
10. Have kids and teach them to appreciate nature

Before you die .. .I'd recomment

1 Tour all the places you didn't know that you wanted to go in the world
2 Ride a motorbike
3 Live in Papua New Guinea with a bad-boy bone-nose tribe
4 Smile ear to ear whilst pulling through the crux when ticking a butt hard boulder problem (the crux will be the smiling bit)
5 Moon the queen & defile a historical monument
6 Visit the wonders of the world
7 Boulder at zero g on the moon (it'd be really whacky!!!)
8 Cure boredom
9 Learn to enjoy climbing any route - be it easy, hard, chossy, sharp, watery-fragile-ice, monstrously-contrived etc. etc.
10 Grid bolt Arapiles

Well there I was thinking miserably about my life (dead career, no savings, no house, can't climb anymore) and then I read this thread and realised I've already ticked off half of the lists here. Woohoo I must be doing something with my life after all.

Got 6 of yours wallwombat, 3 of gravity hound, working on all but 9 and 10 of prb, 6 of gordos, 5 of dr fl good, 6 of steph, but none of monty (u must be wierd dude)

Hmm
1. Build my own house
2. Overcome chronic back pain
3. Find a career I am good at that doesn't involve sitting down.
4. Get in pic of the week on chockstone
5. Climb in the Andes one more time.
6. Climb a 'real' grade 20 granite crack route with ease and without scarring.
7. NOT have kids.
8. Play a competitive sport and win something, even if its novice bowling night at the YMCA
9. Understand the auto electrics in my car.
10. Learn to play a single musical instrument well.
