Mousey lad, take it easy.

Consider this wonderful quote from John Boorman's film "Hope and Glory":

Grandpa: "Bloody women!"
Child: "But I thought you loved women, Grandpa?"
Grandpa: "My boy ... love them, yes. Understand them, NEVER. That road leads to destruction."

Obviously Katie hasn't replied to your (very generous I might add) offer. Don't worry, with the time difference between here and the US she probably hasn't seen your post yet.

PS I agree, when women are good they're good. But when they're bad, they're very, very, bad. Here's a very brief introduction to my ethos (I don't have much time, my girlfriend could come back in to the room any minute). These are random musings. I have volumes of this, pages and pages of observations of the feline species, hidden away, if she ever found it I would be dead - this information needs to be passed on if you ever want to read it.

Remember, in the early days of a relationship, as soon as they think they have you, that's when you're gone. Play it cool, keep the upper hand, hot and cold. NEVER, ever show any weakness or give clingy signs or you will be destroyed. Start off cold and then move to warm - the transition from negative to positive vibes is always the best and most appreciated - as opposed to going the other way. Show a healthy but harmless interest in her friends when they're around, talk to them, sometimes at her expense. Every now and again throw in a subtle negative comment, a "neg", such as pointing out that there's something in her teeth, or her hair smells funny, but later on you complement her. Always let her know you have options - you have a busy life, lots of friends.

I have drawn heavily from "The Game"(1), read it.

deary me, this whole work thing really gets in the way of a good thread ay...
well last weekend i took my mate up sweet dreams for his first lcimbing experience and on the 5th pitch (when i was out of bolt plates and about 6m runout (it started absolutely pissing down rain. it was not nearly as much fun as it sounds, until afterwards when i concluded that it was lots of fun because i was still alive.

anyway a quick TR from last night- i drove in a mates car from appin towards the oaks but the gearbox pretty much fell out of the car near picton so i spent a couple dehydrated hours on the side of the road. then when i finally got back to the oaks we ate lots of chinese a started work on a case of colds. then we went to a party uin campbeltown to farewell some cool lesbians who are heading notrh or something. it all gets a bit hazy from there but a couple things i remember are; taking off my shirt & putting on aan absolutely ginormous mexican hat then climbing up onto the 2nd storey roof of the house and doing a flip into the pool, passing out on the couch after finishing the case & being woken up up by a random putting swhaving cream on me. i put shaving cream on him too, which led to some stern words on his behalf, which led to some stern words on my behalf (something along the lines of 'youre gonna get knocked the f--- out, boy' then aparently he punched tubby toby (he's not actually very tubby i dont know where that came from) in the mouth. we then difussed the situation by leaving, but tubbs forgot his shirt & shoes somehow. we must have walked about 10km without having a flippen CLUE where we were, luckily we ended up at a 24hour servo where i bought much greasy food and took full advantage of the lavoratories provided. when i reemerged from the shitter, however, toby was nowhere to be found so i wandered around for a while then sat at the servo eating chips. eventually i decided toby had either been arressted or jumped, both of which meant he wasnt coming back, so i found my way to the train station. funnily enough he was at the train station, still without shirt or shoes, and even more funnily enough his mum turned up a few minutes later and gave us a lift all the way home (the time = 5:45am)- and here endeth the nights adventures

Two blokes putting shaving cream on each other, hmmmmm, I'm beginning to wonder mate. Then yer out for a late night stroll with a bloke with no shirt on, mate ya gunna hafta dig real hard to spin this one. But then you salvaged yourself by coming to the realisation that easy chicks may not be in it for the long haul.

Not necessarily. The one thing you learn when you get older is that you never totally have the game sussed (although you do get slightly better at playing it). The only thing to expect is the unexpected.
