although the closing line "sorry, not tonight love. My back hurts too much" might not be so good.

well in this whole 'get better & get strong' thing i've started doing a fair bit of bouldering. went out late this arvo to a 'new' crag (my mate found it years ago and did a few things, he finally got me out there... its about 3.5 minutes drive from my house & has the best potential problems ive seen in sydney)
i try to leave the camera at home when i want to climb but i thought i'd bring it along today so here's a couple snaps.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/39577066@N00/
those are from the first little cave, about 100m from THE project. a beaut 5/6 move long 30 degree wall with ripples and a few crimps...thats for my mate (and will be well into the double digits no doubt) and the left hand side drops away to the start of my proj... punchy roof on sidepulls & underclings to a long 60degree smooth arete with pinches and a couple good edges, followed by a few traverse moves on slopy bulges & up to an action packed mantle. it looks like something out of squamish with all the moss & whatnot. mmmm yummy im getting pumped just thikning about it

I know what you mean. I finished work in Canberra at 4am this morning and then drove home to Goulburn. It was 6am by the time I got to sleep. Do you think I can sleep now? Not a chance.

radness!!
yeh im back to normal sleep hours

in other news, i worked all weekend guiding corporate groups for some extra traveling money which was great, until i lost most of it (along with 8 points, thus my license seeing as i was already on zero) for speeding on the way home. i need a stiff drink.

I drove from Goulburn to Canberra on Friday arvo to work at Stonefest 07. Started at 6pm. Worked until 6.30am with a 15 minute break. Got 2 hours sleep in the van and then started again at 11.30am and worked until 10pm with only another 15 minute break. Ended up doing 22 hours in 26. Then I drove back to Goulburn. Needless to say I was rooted.

You need to learn the fine art of speeding in the right places Josh. It's been 10 year since I've lost a
point... back roads my friend. Not the main highway...

Thats not really an option when coming down the hill from the Blueys. It's either the highway or the Bells Line of Road and both are heavily patrolled by Mr Plod, especially on weekends. Up there it is simply better not to speed. Full stop.

Does this mark the end of the Flying Banana?

noddy the flying bannana needs some work done to it anyway, so it couldnt have come at a better time (by time i get back from nz i should be back on the road, if its for 3 months. if its 6 months im f---ed)
i was coming down a back street near my house where ive never seen a cop in 9 years of living there
