Um, can I put my hand up and say "not me"? I would suggest that the majority of those new to climbing who are "crowding" the gym may give the sport away after a few months, in the meantime probably won't attend the gym every week, and may never make the transition to outdoors (which can be hard if you don't have buddies already climbing).

It would be a small percentage of new climbers at gyms that graduate to cranking grade 25+ outdoors.

So the grade you climb is what makes you a "good" climber? These "good" climbers are usually the ones who manage to rap off the ends of a rope, or drop someone when using a GriGri.

ahh forget it. Just lock this thread mods. This is making about as much sense as the trad vs bolt
arguments.

Neil, I think you need to take your frustrations out on the footy field.

Simey, you should sign Kent up for this weekend! Do a swap - you give him a belay on your stellar ***
route @ taipan and then he can play a match for the Rams. Sounds like a fair swap. At least Kent's tall
enough to be a footy player.

Give it another minute KP, this topic will shortly revert back to a sport vs. trad arguement.

They always do...

No such thing would ever occur. Anyway, AFL is such a lame game and all of the people playing it have
small penises. Rugby is the far superior sport.

Well I've just had a look down my pants and my only comment is that rugby players must be MASSIVE.

I'm not sure, but maybe you could go into an All Blacks changing room and compare yours to theirs, and
then report back to us on what the results are.

Come on Ed and Simey - your squabble is pointless. If you feel the need, just continue it over a beer at the Nati pub tonight.

If actually having to have a point was a requirement for a discussion, Chockstone would be nothing but tumbleweeds blowing across the screen.
