Back in the daze...
The pioneering climbers in Yosemite.
Anyone putting up new routes in places like Patagonia, Baffin Island etc; or those putting up new routes in the greater ranges, e.g. the Chris Bonnington expeditions.

The notable soloists, the 'in a day' ascentionists, and also the unsupported and oxygenless ascentionists in the high Himalaya.

These days I get gripped by the ascents that Alex Honnold makes.

Well that was a pleasant surprise. I've always known I'm awesome, but suffered from the sadness that the world is not ready for my awesomeness. To have it independently validated has made my day. I'm off to drown a cat to celebrate.

Bernd Arnold climbing hard in great style well into his 60. Even taught hot Henry a thing or two back in the day.
