The real issue is that the focus of indigenous Australians has rightly shifted from their own inter tribal transgressions to the transgressions of those who have taken the existent tribal lands and treated them like shit for such a long time. How to rectify the power imbalance and the in built racial inequality is a struggle that all indigenous cultures face. This is a world wide phenomenon.

A compounding factor is the cultural heritage associated with indigenous peoples. How do all peoples understand and value things which unknown people created generations and up to many thousands of years ago without adding layers of hyperbole, hysteria and socio-political determinative attributes. These things should be protected as they are rare and important. Understanding their significance is another vexed issue as we cannot speak for those people who created these things. Imagine trying to analyse a Banksy in a cave 25000 years from now!!

Taking the emotive US V THEM out of the equation and understanding that cultural heritage areas need protection is important. One of my major gripes is seeing obvious cultural heritage items being continually vandalised in areas of the Grampians that are major tourist areas with PV turning a hypocritical blind eye. AV and PV need to be consistent in their approach to the importance of cultural heritage sites, it cannot be a 'one rule for the outliers' approach.

What?
I was only addressing the claim that there are no other indigenous climbers as being similar to that skit in Little Britain.....

I am certainly not being dismissive of oppression and sorry if it read that way to you.
