IdratherbeclimbingM9 13-Dec-2018 8:53:57 AM	Magnitude 2.5 earthquake at Myrtleford (near base of Mt Buffalo), occurred at 1.47 am 13/12/18. Have also had heaps of rain overnight / early hours of this morning, with flash flooding stranding motorists on Hume Hwy in the Wangaratta area... ~> There may be some blocks loosened or lost, off climbs at Mt Buffalo as a result? Speaking of Buffalo; an Aidfest report is in the making but hasn’t been finalised for publication yet. One interesting facet of the event was that the slackliner contingent doubled our attendance numbers!

As frightening as that was, Cannon expected his fall to be arrested by Klein, who, had they not been simul-climbing, would have been tied into a fixed anchor bolt at the bottom of the pitch they were climbing. Instead he heard Klein yell “ Oh f—!!! ” as the rope pulled him off the wall. A split second later he too wooshed through the air, still attached to the rope. I tried to clip, the rope went whoosh, and I went all quiet. Andrew started yelling "Below!, Below!!, Below!!!". I got back down to the lip and I reached in and grabbed the block and swung in on that, it came off instantly but I managed to grab the gear on the wall (which I must of hit fairly hard). I got back to camp and fell asleep for 24 hours...' ....FAR...KIN...ELL . .
