Seeing as a post hasn't appeared about this I thought I'd take matters into my own hand.
If you are at Araps this weekend, Steve and John Morris from Rock Hardware (who kindly sponsor this site) are launching their book 17 Down Under this Sunday in the Pines picnic area at 9:00am. It's a coffee table book that celebrates the best moderate grade routes in Victoria. There will also be free scones and jam so get in quick before the dirtbags find out.
Vertical life have recently done an interview with them which includes a previous of some of the pictures and a bit of background to the project.

Sounds like it's worth a read for a dismal old man in the twilight of his climbing autumn, where can I score a copy

Looks like it can be bought directly from Rock Hardware (link on the left).

It's in the Rock Hardware "media" section. Great interview and thoughts from John and Steve on V/L. Wish I’d grabbed 17 Down Under when I was at Rock Hardware this week. Refreshing to see a book about climbing that resonates with an unexceptional climber like myself. I’ll never: be a full-time climber, climb 30+, be young good looking and fit, but the climbing media is all about these people. Congratulations Steve and John, hope the book sells out (just after I’ve got my copy).

It is a VERY nice book. Steve and John have done a great job.
It's a dash more salt in the already raw wound that is living in Perth.

Touche. It's a book the mid grade climber can relate and aspire to.

The launch was great - fresh scones make for a ripper breakfast!
The book itself is brilliant and something Steven and John should be very proud of.

I've got a copy, it's great; my 13yo son was flipping through and was chuffed to see a bunch of climbs he's done. He can't do that with a climbing magazine. I'm liking it as it's the stuff I climb and it's got no feet-off-massive-overhang shots. Photo's by climbers too.

Congratulations John and Steve. Great pictures and text, with a fascinating back story which led to climbing most weekends together for a number of years. Inspiring.
