Hi all,
I'm looking for some where to park up our car and tent in the general bluies area. We don't need much, just a bathroom and a bit of flat ground thats safe to leave our camp setup . Happy to pay a reasonable amount, but I really don't want to spend the $35-40 per night at a caravan park.
If you have a short term room for rent in the next couple of weeks that could also be of interest.
Cheers

Jason,
Try Mt Wilson, its free. Nice campsite with a toilet, some shelters, water and fire places.
Cant get much better than that?

Free camping in megalong valley / Mt York, the latter you almost roll out of your tent on belay, and it's a quick scoot across the great western to Piddo.
Paid National Park camping at Glenbrook and a few other spots, though not aware of any close to climbing.
You can camp at Pierces Pass off BellsLine of Rd and easily spend every day in the Grose, more comfortable is Mt Wilson campground, though not as close to the climbs, it's out of the way enough to confidently leave your tent zipped with peace of mind.

Yes you can
Mt York has these things and climbing within walking distance. Ok it doesn't have water.
There's also the campsite down on the Megalong Valley Rd. A fresh water creek runs through it.

Extra points for Mt York is the 24hr servo up the road where you can fill drinking water, splash shower & coffee... Mt Vic township has a nice cafe, bottlo and general store.. Did I mention Piddo?
For proper Amenities just visit the swimming pool (cheap showers compared to a caravan park) or the climbing gym in Leura.

...and Mt Vic has Goats Meat Cave which is actually better than Taipan Wall (in my opinion). Mt York is good for it. Always someone around so theft isnt too common.
