Not a rock climbing question but does anybody know any good places to abseil no more than hour and a half from shepparton victoria. I'm slowly getting into rock climbing so any help there would be good to . Thanks.

Both places have enough height to make abseiling interesting, however they don't have people around to do it with, unless you go with the guided mob based at Mt Buffalo.

Apparently there is a clifflet or quarry thing out near Dookie but I was run out of town by the fruit processing mafia before I managed to get around to checking it out.

the balaclava mine at whroo (rushworth ) cliffy rock dirt faces or the mega popular Mt Hope near Leitchville or Pyramid Hill there are reasonable cliffs (to abseil not climb )on the way to Strathbogie or the hard to access Rolling Stone wall both near Euroa

Rocky Ned for 50m abseil or moonee creek boulders 15m in the strathbogie ranges. Access via Lima east road. Moonee creek boulders has bolted anchors.
