Just wondering if this is cool? I've noticed a few there over the years but:

- is it technically in the national park?
- does it depend to some extent on the dog.....some are better behaved than others
- if not there where can you actually enjoy a day at the crag with your hound in the bluies?

whadda people think?

Shipley is not in a National Park. The National Park is on the Grose Valley side of Blackheath. However around Katoomba the cliffline is National Park.

I am pretty sure it is not a Dog Off-leash area so the dog really should be restrained at all times.
It's not really a suitable place for them to run around uncontrolled . . .

Wish there were more dogs than people at Shipley.

I am pretty confident that there have been quite a few dogs at Shipley over the years

Surely it's Pru's fault.

I was sitting on a ledge at a busy Wave Wall down at the Glen today, with my legs dangling about 3-4m up. I was busy watching someone climb, when a dog walked right on top of me into my lap. I very nearly pushed the poor thing off the edge out of fright! I think that could have ruined the day for everyone pretty quickly.
