Thought it would be good to post here as well (msg copied from Facebook)
Hi all, I have a favour to ask the climbing community. This afternoon paramedics and police rescue officers rescued a climber from Bunny Bucket Buttress - Pierces Pass area. The climber had an isolated lower limb injury and was plucked from the face by helicopter after dark after paramedics accessed him by a 120m abseil.
We had to leave a rope in place. It's anchored at the top as well as partway down so it wouldn't flap and touch the helicopter rotors.
If anyone is planning on climbing the route tomorrow (Monday long weekend) and are interested in assisting us with recovering this 200m rope, Then could you call me on 0458 238 814 to discuss.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
