Wow, Which thread were you reading?
You seem to have missed what 'most' of the discussion has been about . . . .

Oh yeah Niel, you still have not given me any reason for my banning, or answered any of my emails or PMs regarding SaferCliffs discussions access . . .
What is your problem . . ? ? ?

Maybe he's got a problem with you always spelling his name wrong, Makka!

I admit to snickering when Macca spells Shai-Hulud wrong (Shai-Halud), given it's his shining example of climbing glory.

De Niel is not just a river in Africa, Macca.

Are you suggesting it should be Shai Halud?
Hmm, I'm guessing you haven't read Dune then ?
Or the Australian Route Register, theCrag.com . . .
Maybe just start with Dave Jones interview here on Chockers . . .

You can then have a real belly laugh as you notice we all spell it 'wrong' . . . .

Re Niel - I'm just using the old 'i before e; except after c' rule . . .
And if you re-read the post you will notice that I only started using the 'safer' spelling once Niel's behaviour became contemptibly obvious . . .

And there I was thinking it was a reference to the hot sandy desert winds that blow across the sahara. Damn this modern pop-cultural mangulation of foreign words!

Weren't they a metal band in the '90s?

[Also, those grammatical rules don't always apply to names. It's Neil.]

Yeah it seems like a lot of rules don't actually apply to name Niel . . .
In the interest of SafeCliffs, thanks to those who sent me the recent topics from the SaferCliffs discussions - it was purely for personal research of course . . .
Though I may actually need to de-frock a poodle soon - so whats the current 'best practice'?
Oh and Niel, I am still waiting for a reply to my numerous requests for re-instated access . . . Even if it is another abusive one, I don't mind . .

Wikipedia:
Niel is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp.

Baby Names:
niel\ as a boy's name is a variant of Neil (Irish, Gaelic), and the meaning of Niel is "champion".
The baby name Niel sounds like Noel, Neel and Nial. Other similar baby names are Niels, Nigel and Nijel.
People with this name have a deep inner desire for travel and adventure, and want to set their own pace in life without being governed by tradition.

Well, assuming that his ban is now over as he is posting again . ..

Niel, just wondering why I don't have access to SaferCliffs section anymore?
Could you either sort it out or get back to me . ..

I have been offline for a month and am playing catch up with posts/issues...

Thanks for the tip that VL#5 was out, another great issue. And a balanced, objective presentation of the Point Perp bolting issue. That in itself is sure to anger some!
