Probally a miss quote but it was from "Climbing" in a young guns article: Scott Franklin " anything under 5.9 is some bizzare form of mountaineering."

"You mean we could have just HIKED to the top?!"

Spoken by a friend after she struggled up her first climb, when I pointed out the trail that would take us back to the base.

"You mean I could have been lowered off if I'd wanted?" My cuzzi bro after I coached him up his first climb (The Bummer (14), Kambah Rocks).

Is that the real translation? That is fantastic. When the retardnet becomes vocal please teach me how to say it.

"If someone offers you the end of a rope, you get on it and f@$%en climb, mate". John Fantini to me after I attempted to wimp my way out of seconding Integral crack at Booroomba. Needless to say, I climbed.

Awesome work!! The only reason for passing up an opportunity to second Integral would be if your puritanical ways insisted on "saving yourself" for the onsight.

My problem was that I had pre-psyched myself - it was the first climb I was ever shown at Booroomba, and it looked vertical and featureless to me then. I had also read reports about its exposure freaking people out. I didn't get psyched out on the climb, or find it exposed. My only problem was that I was fatigued after doing Determinant previously in the day and I got a bit stuck on Integral on the last crux near the top where it bulges and looks like featureless granite (da na na na na na nana Batmaaan...). Trip report on the way.

I share your pain Mulchy. Except that I psyched myself out on the onsight attempt. What a beast of a climb!

Emiliano Zapata led the Mexican revolution in 1910 and said:

Prefiero morir de pie que vivir siempre arrodillado!

Which translates roughly as:

It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!
