Why can't I upload an image?

I've tried several times to upload a image. But a internal server error shows up each time I try????

Image uploading to chockstone has always been sketchy. It also requires compressing the file to the point where it's usually not very good (for photos at least, a diagram will work).

I recommend using an external image hosting service:

http://imgur.com/
http://flickr.com/

Then right click on the image, copy image URL and paste that into a a tag in a post here:

<img src="URL GOES HERE">

Hmm. I don't know about sketchy, but it certainly adheres to the following rules...

I've not usually had any problems uploading pictures in the past, but tonight I get the usual message of...

>Your files are uploading
>The files you have selected are currently being uploaded. Please be patient.

>This window will automatically close

... and that sub-screen just hangs there until the background screen refreshes with the following message...
(The sub-screen message doesn't disappear as usual either...)

>Upload Pictures

>No files were uploaded.

A temporary glitch, or something more sinister?

PS the two pictures I am trying to upload are both approx 55 KB, so are under the 65 KB limit.
If it is worth noting, I am trying to add them to a thread dated 2009 on Balls Pyramid, so maybe the age of that thread could have something to do with it due the hack attacks that have happened since? ... or maybe some other background limit has been exceeded?

I tried again this morning with the same unsuccessful result, however while exploring further I also noticed that the recent Chockstone Photography link on this page (located underneath Photo Gallery) isn't working correctly for the latest additions.
If one clicks on the 11 Nov 2015 link there it takes you to the photos, but if you click on the 06 Jan 2016 link it takes you to another place (prices page) instead of the photos.

I'd guess that some kind of windows update on the web server has tightened up security with respect to uploading using whatever code I wrote 10 years ago. Haven't got the time to sort it out just now.

Given how much we pay for the service I am happy to wait for it to get sorted!

Still getting the following error message but for a different picture this time;
