Hey...so? Traveling climber looking for the best place to have his Sportivas resoled.
Are there any places in Syd/Blue Mountains I can walk into for this? Or is that grumpy ol' dude in Natty the only place to get a decent resole in this country?
(And sorry to the grumpy ol' dude in Natty if'n you follow these boards.)
Thanks!

Whoa, not meaning to start a war on another one of your threads, but you fuched up pretty bad by bringing worn out shoes over to oz. Resole is gonna set you back as much as a new pair would at home. Now I fully understand the economics, and how 1st world repairers paid real wages fixing products which were built on 3rd world wages kinda kooks the whole thing. But it still sucks balls when you send a pair of great fitting shoes away, pay 75% of the mail order price of a new pair, and they come back unwearable owing to shape and length alterations.

ODH, you have to remember that when you have feet shaped like some DNA recombination experiment gone wrong and your feet resemble a bizzare combination between a fish flipper and a pigs trotter, you are likely to never be happy about resoles.
PS you heading south over Xmas?

Phil's resoles at Arapiles Mountain Shop are very very good. Great turn around via Aust Post too. Phil's been resoling mine for over 20 years. Couldn't be happier with the quality or the service. Go local and support AMS.
