Hi there,
Went to cathedral ranges last weekend and tried our first multi pitch on "composite route".
Being rookies a DMM nut got stuck, a sling and a new QuickDraw plus new QuickDraw biner got lost, not sure how we lost this other than dropping it while climbing or scrambling off..

If anyone has found them and is willing to return it ( consider the nut booty as we couldn't get it out..) please message me, can identify nut size, sling and QuickDraw brand and make..

Cheers,
Markus

curious to know why you left the sling and quickdraw behind? if the nut is stuck, common practice for the second is to clean the sling and draw and continue on. were you rapping off?

Yep, couldn't get the nut out and it was getting dark.
So far haven't heard anything about the other pieces...
Lesson learned, mark gear, start earlier next time..

... or go back and enjoy another climbing day there asap, and retrace your steps to maybe find your gear. Maybe also reclimb your route (with more time in hand), or abseil it with the intention and equipment to recover your stuck gear?

Generally when someone advertises an epic, others will allow a reasonable time for them to recover their gear, or if they obtain it will return it after such advertising, before claiming it as booty.
