Hate to be the bearer of bad news but there is no great place to buy a crash pad in Melbourne. Bogong Mountain Equipment on little Bourke St. should have some in stock and The Wilderness Shop in box hill stock them also, but neither store has an extensive range. Best to decide on what brand/style of pad you want and order it in through a shop or off the internet. The lactic factory hires out crash pads if you need some in the mean time.

Cheers - I can probably swing by Big Johns in the bluies before i go so that might be the best option.

i have a massive crash pad that i bought off some germans who were in aust. it has seen a lot of life frankly, but is massive and probably easy to put some more foam in it - i have added some myself. i don't go bouldering anymore, it's just taking up space, so if you want it send me a text on 0403 324 366 and i'll send you some photos and we can talk.

ado_m, do you still wanna get rid of that crash pad? I'm gonna be in melbourne on the 17th-19th of Sept. before heading to the Grampians for 3 weeks and am gonna need a pad.
Thanks, Angus
