Crack stole my Petzl Helmet

Ummm, a gust of wind picked my white Petzl Meteor helmet right up off my head and it disappeared down the Watchtower Crack at Araps on Saturday. It's probably home to wildlife by now, but if someone finds it I'd be happy to compensate you. Providing the thing isn't split in half of course. Looked everywhere back down on the ground, so it's probably snagged up there somewhere.

Even if you get it back and it's not completely foobar you'll need to bin it. Not just because it's taken a big fall but it obviously doesn't fit all that well.

the prob with these ultralight helmets is that it don't take much to crack/destroy them...often by putting them in your pack and then sitting on said pack

But Kieran is right, fit is more important than weight. Get yourself a new one. I wouldn't climb on that one again, even if it passed a visual, given the nature of these UL helmets.
