i have a BCA Tracker. easy & simple to use, fairly cheap.
All beacons are about the same size & weight. whichever one you get, learn to use it properly & quickly - practise lots & lots & lots. In the process of practicing you will learn what the real range etc is of your beacon.

don't think so.

this (Reco) is NOT a beacon & cannot in any way be substituted for a beacon. They are however useful for recovering bodies, but only if someone has the big huge (expensive) receiving unit machine thing.
